Birth Prep, Group Classes & Workshops

Knowledge, confidence, and belonging, together. Because nobody should have to do this journey to motherhood alone.

Why community

Community is Powerful

Any time we start something new, a job, a friendship, a hobby, we're really looking for the same three things, whether we realize it or not: knowledge, confidence, and belonging. Starting a family is no different. It's new, it can be scary, and you will almost certainly have moments of feeling like you're in it alone or wishing you had all the answers. I promise you're not alone. One of the most important parts of my work is building community, so you feel like you've got this in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I've been where you are, and where you're going, and that's exactly why these groups are so powerful. Come find your people.

Running 3 cohorts per year

Our Postpartum Support Group

Picture walking in two minutes late after a morning that fell apart, and being met with ten exhausted but smiling faces, a hot cup of tea, and a space to just breathe. Nobody judges you. You're right where you belong.

Our Postpartum Support Group is a small circle of moms and babies (0 to 1 year), some brand new, some seasoned, coming together in the thick of motherhood to feel like they're thriving, not just surviving. We meet once a week for six weeks over tea and cookies, share the shines and the shadows, and bring in local perinatal pros for short guest sessions (naturopaths, pelvic floor physios, even family financial planners). There's a WhatsApp group so your support carries on between meetings, and zero pressure to talk if you just need to sit and listen. The biggest step is simply showing up.

This is for you if motherhood has felt lonely and you don't know how to make new mom friends. It's for you if you've been hoping for a place to fall apart without judgment while being held by people who truly get it.

Postpartum Support Group FAQ's

Am I signing up for one session, or all six?

All six. One booking covers the full six-week series, so you don't need to book each week separately. We meet Fridays from 1:00 to 2:30, six weeks in a row.

Is the price per session or for the whole thing?

It's for the whole six weeks, not per week. 6 weeks at $200 or $33/session.

Can I join if the group has already started?

Yes. We don't run this as a drop-in, but if a group is already underway and it feels like the right time for you, you're welcome to join partway through. You'll only be charged for the weeks that are left. Just reach out and we'll sort it out.

When does the next one start?

  • October 23, 2026
  • January 22, 2027
  • March 5, 2027

Each one runs for six consecutive Fridays, 1:00 to 2:30.

Who is this for?

New mothers in the first year. Most of the women who come are on maternity leave and are somewhere in that stretch where the days are long, the nights are longer, and everyone keeps asking how the baby is doing and nobody asks how you're doing.

You don't need to be struggling to come. You just need to want to be in a room with people who get it.

Ready to Join Us?

You don't have to do this alone. Come sit with people who get it. Reach out and I'll let you know the moment the next group opens. No pressure, just a warm seat waiting.

One-on-one support

Prefer Something More Personal?

If you're not a group person, or want support that's just for you, I offer one-on-one care too. Birch and Belly offers services from massage to doula support and private in-home birth prep classes. We can shape it around exactly what you need.
